About Money Power Destiny Financial Literacy Conference
With African-American consumers spending over $13 billion
annually, a substantial amount of wealth-building potential
is being lost. The Money.Power.Destiny theme was born out of
the community’s need to share knowledge that will encourage
better money management habits and ultimately change the
destiny of African Americans as a people. Learning the
principles of saving, investing and owning as opposed to
spending, borrowing and renting will bring money, power and
a secure destiny to future generations.
Revelation Urban
Development Institute, and Houston Style Magazine will host our second Money.Power.Destiny (MPD 2007) conference scheduled for Saturday
August 25, 2007, at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida de las Americas, Houston, Texas 77010. At the conference, we will continue our series of Financial Literacy Seminars based on the Black Enterprise “10
Principles of Saving and Investing.”
MPD 2007 gets back to basics regarding money, its purpose,
and how to harness its power to solidify the financial
destiny of the African-American family, entrepreneur and
community. Attendees will take away the knowledge necessary
to navigate the journey to financial empowerment.
